U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Laredo Port of Entry intercepted over $1.1 million in cocaine during two separate incidents. The first seizure took place on July 20 at the World Trade Bridge, where a 31-year-old Mexican man was found with 37.69 pounds of cocaine hidden in a tractor trailer. The second incident occurred on July 22 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge, involving a 37-year-old female driver with 50.37 pounds of cocaine in her vehicle. Both individuals were arrested, and Homeland Security Investigations is currently looking into the cases.

In a four-page court document, Lyle Landers stated that his ex-wife, TikTok influencer Sara Gilson, died without a will. She 'left an estate consisting of personal property' in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Landers' attorneys wrote. Landers and Gilson had two children together before she married Jeremiah Shawn Duffey. Duffey, 48, shot Gilson, 43, in Owasso, Oklahoma, on July 23, according to the local police department. Days earlier, she publicly accused him of pedophilia. In the court filing, Landers' attorneys noted that since Duffey 'took Gilson's life' 'intentionally and criminally,' any of his beneficiaries 'should be barred from inheriting her estate.'

The suspect was identified as Jeanine John Taele, a 38-year-old resident of Downey, who was also being investigated for theft by the El Segundo Police Department. During the arrest, a 16-round magazine with ammunition was found in Taele's pants pocket. Authorities also searched Taele's car parked at the golf course, where they found another loaded gun and more ammunition. Taele was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and for possession of armor-piercing or prohibited ammunition. On Monday, authorities executed a search warrant at Taele's home in Downey, where they found an illegally modified AR-type rifle, a.45 caliber handgun, an upper receiver for an AR-type rifle, a bulletproof vest, high-capacity magazines, ammunition for handguns and rifles, and two radio signal devices. During the search, 'multiple notebooks with concerning statements' were also found, although the specific content of the messages was not detailed. The investigation was conducted in collaboration with the FBI's counter-terrorism group and the United States Secret Service. The case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office on Tuesday morning. The man pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $250,000 bail.

'The Amber Alert was canceled, but Ozana Cisneros, 7 months old, is still actively missing. The alert did not produce any leads and SAPD continues to investigate,' the agency reported. The baby was last seen on June 10 in the 331 block of Roosevelt Avenue, alongside her mother, 19-year-old Maximina Cisneros. For weeks, the whereabouts of both remained unknown. Authorities later found the mother alive in a reportedly abandoned home, but details about the circumstances of her discovery or whether she has been able to provide information about the child's disappearance have not yet been revealed.
