2 dead following wrong-way crash near Palmview

A tragic head-on collision in Hidalgo County resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others critically injured. The incident occurred on August 14 at 9:26 p.m. on Texan Road, near Palmview. A blue Ford Fusion, driven by 25-year-old Jonathan Tellez-Sosa from Peñitas, was struck by a silver Chevrolet Malibu that crossed into oncoming traffic. Both Tellez-Sosa and 19-year-old Brianna Yatziri Saucedo, a passenger in the Malibu, died at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to McAllen Medical Center and are currently in critical condition. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
