Two-a-Day Tour 2026: PSJA Bears
· KRGV (NBC 5)
The PSJA Bears football team is entering a new chapter after a challenging 2025 season, finishing with a 1-4 district record and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Former Bear and offensive coordinator Horacio Garza has taken over as head coach, revamping the coaching staff with Mark Gonzalez as defensive coordinator and Gary Lauer as offensive coordinator. The quarterback competition is between Dylan Rodriguez and Gael Zambrano. Garza's son, Isaiah, a junior wide receiver and safety, is also joining the team. The Bears will start non-district play against Mercedes, with district play commencing later in the season.
