STC’s Business, Public Safety and Technology Faculty Mobilize to Prepare Students for an AI-Driven Future

· Texas Border Business

Faculty at South Texas College's Division of Business, Public Safety and Technology are integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into their curriculum to prepare students for a tech-driven economy. With 15 departments and 33 faculty members involved, AI is now part of 55 courses. The initiative, led by Erika Guerra, aims to enhance instruction in various fields, including Business Management and Automotive Technology. Faculty emphasize that AI supports, rather than replaces, human expertise. New training systems for advanced driver-assistance systems will be implemented this fall, and programs are encouraged to explore practical AI applications to improve efficiency and economic growth in the region.
