Two men from McAllen lost their lives in a head-on collision on FM 2220, also known as Ware Road, on Sunday morning. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that the accident occurred around 11:38 a.m. on September 20, south of 6 Mile Line. A black 2026 Cadillac Escalade, driven by a woman with a passenger, was heading north when a white 2005 Toyota Scion, driven by 31-year-old Fabien Diego Guerrero, veered into oncoming traffic. Guerrero died at the scene, while his 64-year-old passenger, Fabian Guerrero, later died at the hospital. The Cadillac's occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. DPS is investigating the cause of the crash.
