TEXAS – A tropical disturbance could form in the coming days in the northern Gulf, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC). A low-pressure area identified as Invest AL97, located approximately 125 miles south of the southeastern Louisiana coast, has shown better organization since Sunday. Unlike the remnants of Dolly, AL97 currently has a significantly higher chance of becoming a tropical cyclone. The system is expected to slowly move west-northwest and could briefly become a depression or tropical storm before reaching the southwestern Louisiana or upper Texas coasts between Tuesday and Tuesday night.
