Tropical Storm Simon, which formed Wednesday afternoon in the Pacific, is bringing rain to southwestern Mexico and is expected to rapidly intensify, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC). As of the NHC's 9 a.m. CST bulletin on Thursday, the system was located 255 miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, and 380 miles southeast of Cabo Corrientes, Mexico.
