NEW JERSEY — Travelers passing through Newark Airport can now save a significant amount of time in the security line thanks to new technology. There are new electronic gates at the United Airlines security checkpoint in Terminal C of the airport. Passengers only need to approach an electronic gate, take a photo, and head directly to baggage screening. 'We are now conducting security checks in under three seconds,' said Greg Hawko, federal security director of the TSA in Newark.
