Community decorates car windows to support state-bound Sharyland Rattlers

· KRGV (NBC 5)

Support for the Sharyland Rattlers baseball team is building as they head to the state finals this Friday. Volunteers painted car windows along Shary Road and Business 83 on Tuesday, showcasing the school's red and white colors. Approximately 20 vehicles were decorated, taking about 30 minutes each, with fans paying $10 to $20 for the service, raising around $200 for the team. Sharyland ISD encourages local businesses and residents to display red and white decorations in solidarity. The Rattlers are the fifth team from the Rio Grande Valley to reach the state finals, a milestone not achieved since 2007. Another painting session is scheduled for Wednesday morning and evening.
