McALLEN, Texas — The McAllen Police Department is asking for the community's help in locating Elisa Yvette Colombel and Cindy Thalia Ramirez, two women identified as suspects in an investigation into alleged thefts and credit card abuse. According to authorities, officers investigated reports of thefts at various commercial establishments in McAllen that occurred between July 30 and August 23, 2026. The investigation led to another report filed on August 23 related to unauthorized credit card transactions at several businesses in northern McAllen. Investigators identified Colombel and Ramirez as suspects in the cases. Subsequently, a magistrate from the McAllen Municipal Court determined there was probable cause to issue arrest warrants for them. Elisa Yvette Colombel, 46, faces five counts of theft, classified as state jail felonies, and 10 counts of credit card abuse, also classified as state jail felonies. Colombel is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs around 110 pounds, has brown hair and eyes, and her last known address is in Mission, Texas. Meanwhile, Cindy Thalia Ramirez, 38, faces one count of theft, a Class B misdemeanor; four counts of credit card abuse, classified as state jail felonies; and two counts of organized retail theft, classified as Class A misdemeanors.
