WASHINGTON DC – The U.S. government announced on Wednesday that it is offering rewards totaling over $100 million for information leading to the capture of several leaders of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a Mexican criminal organization designated as a terrorist group by the Trump Administration. The State Department reported that among the rewards, it has increased the bounty from $20 million to $25 million for the arrest of Juan Carlos Valencia González, alias Pelón, the successor to CJNG leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho, who was killed in a Mexican military operation in February.
