The most needed items include canned meats such as tuna, chicken, and Spam; canned fruits and vegetables; soups, stews, chili, beans, and sauces. Those wishing to contribute can drop off their donations at the following locations: Edinburg Police Department: 1702 S. Closner Blvd.; Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home: 322 E. Kuhn St.; Emmanuel IPHC: 317 N. 18th Ave.; First Lutheran Church: 302 S. Sugar Rd.; First Baptist Church Edinburg: 201 E. Samano St. Additionally, a drive-thru collection event will take place on Friday, October 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church Edinburg, located at 201 E. Samano St. The campaign aims to gather enough food to benefit more people in the community during Thanksgiving and offers two ways to participate: by dropping off items at any of the five collection points or attending the event on October 9.
