Preliminary investigations indicate that a motorcyclist riding a Harley-Davidson northbound on FM 88 slowed down to turn into a private driveway. A gray Dodge Durango was traveling behind the motorcycle, and the driver was unable to control the speed of the vehicle, colliding with the motorcycle. The Harley-Davidson rider was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Durango did not stop to assist the victim and fled the scene. The Dodge Durango was located by state agents at Mile 19, east of FM 88 and south of the crash site. This case remains under investigation.
