A New York Times executive was shot dead, allegedly by his in-laws, in a park in the Bay Area of California on Saturday, according to authorities. The Dublin Police Department reported that a sergeant was patrolling near the Dublin Sports Grounds at 3:08 p.m. when he found Jonathan McKinsey lying in the parking lot. At the same time, police received multiple 911 calls. Officers discovered McKinsey with several gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene. McKinsey, a resident of Dublin, was the engineering director at New York Times Games, where he had worked for over three years, as confirmed by a spokesperson for The New York Times to the San Francisco Chronicle.
